UD Trucks Releases All-New Condor MK/LK series

UD Trucks Corporation (formerly Nissan Diesel Motor Co., Ltd, President: Satoru Takeuchi) today announced that the all-new Condor MK (4-ton class payload) and Condor LK (5-6 ton class payload) series will go on sale at dealers across Japan on Tuesday, July 12. These Condor trucks have undergone a full model change under the development concept of UD Advantage and UD Solution.

The new Condor MK and Condor LK models adopt a new cab design that conveys the impression of a unified family identity with the Quon heavy-duty truck series. They also feature various advanced technologies accumulated on the company’s heavy-duty trucks to deliver outstanding fuel economy, environmental friendliness, aerodynamic performance and safety.

The new Condor models are powered by the GH5 and GH7 engines fitted with a newly developed common rail system that increases the maximum fuel injection pressure for achieving high levels of power and torque in a small displacement volume. Moreover, they are equipped with UD Trucks’ Final Low Emission New Diesel System (FLENDS), a urea selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system that combines an SCR catalyst for reducing nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions with a UD Particulate Cleaning (UDPC) device for reducing particulate matter (PM). These emission reduction technologies have been refined on the Quon heavy-duty truck series, and, together with the GH engines, they enable the new Condor models to provide both excellent fuel economy and environmental performance. All the Condor MK and Condor LK models meet Japan’s fiscal 2015 fuel consumption standards for heavy vehicles and comply with Japan’s 2010 exhaust emission regulations.

These latest Condor trucks are configured primarily as wing and van types, offered in a variety of “Perfect Condor” finished vehicle packages, including the bed, and providing highly practical specifications and enhanced cargo-carrying capabilities to better meet customers’ diverse business needs. Moreover, like the Quon heavy-duty truck series, the new Condor models come with UD Genuine Aftermarket Product programs that provide comprehensive after-sales services. UD Information Service is also available that uses a multifunction dashboard display to give drivers eco-friendly driving advice for improving fuel economy and has advanced functionality for monitoring the vehicle status. This service collects and analyzes information on a truck’s condition, operational status and other aspects, making it possible to provide customers with valuable information for boosting their vehicle operating rates, improving fuel-efficient driving and supporting safe vehicle operation.
